A brief behaviour assessment will be completed to help understand the function and meaning behind the behaviour presented by the person. This will help to establish the correct support to meet need.
This will usually take approx. 1 - 1.5 hours
This includes using things such as;

Developing and assisting in implementing Behavioural Support Plans (BSPs) tailored to individual needs, based on the functional assessment of the behaviour, using quality of life measures and looking at how support can be best provided within the plan.
Delivery of direct behavioural interventions (such as shaping, desensitisation or rapport building) and practice leadership will be provided to support implementation of the plan.
Providing direct sessions to support with implementation of plans and to complete direct observation before, during and after implementation of the plans. These sessions will be provided on a variety of different timed sessions, based on the need of the person. The amount of sessions will also be dependent on the need of the person.
Immediate support for individuals in crisis, providing urgent behavioural assessment and intervention strategies. Direct and indirect support can be provided based on the needs of the person.
This model revolves around providing specialised support programs tailored for families. Services can include family training, regular check-ins, resources for managing behaviour of distress, and workshops to strengthen the family dynamics and support systems. Addressing the area of need and helping to support with overall family well-being.
